Bodybuilding Coach Hopes For 2022 SEA Games Medals

PHNOM PENH: Mr. Chap Vanny, the national bodybuilding coach of Cambodia, expressed his hope to participate in the national competition at the 31st SEA Games in Vietnam, which is scheduled from 12 to 23 May 2022.

The coach added that Cambodian bodybuilders are ready to compete in two divisions at the 2022 SEA Games in Vietnam: Athletic Physique and Bodybuilding.

As for the national bodybuilders, they are actively increasing their training every day in order to raise their hopes of competing for national medals at the biennial major sporting event in Southeast Asia. Bodybuilders: Keo Samnang, Tring Chan will compete in the Athletic Physique in the same weight of 81 kg.

This division is based on height plus weight to match the weight limit, such as 80 kg, two players compete together.

 Ith Sothea and Un Borath will compete in the Bodybuilding weight 80 kg and 85 kg division. The coach claims that in this pre-training, the national team trains 6 days a week and 4 hours a day. The reason for the expectation to win this medal is due to the experience of all these outstanding players who have competed in various international events in the past. Mr. Chap Vanny emphasized, "After opening the training in April 2021, now almost a year, so he hopes that the Cambodian bodybuilders will achieve good results at the medal level. The national team coach said that this training was highly encouraged and dedicated by Mr. Tek Bunvy, President of the Cambodian Federation of Tennis and Exercise to encourage the Cambodian national team to gain national prestige and be ready for next year's SEA Games in Cambodia 2022.
